Springtime is buzzing at Polar Experience with various activities both on and off the ice.

Our Polar Experience guide team wrapped up the winter season with a spectacular private expedition for a large group on Greenland's Arctic Circle Trail in the early days of March. The Northern Lights blessed them with their strong presence and left us all once again in awe of nature's splendour.

Upon their return, we were thrilled to officially welcome our newest addition to our polar guide team, Karin Sloove from The Netherlands. Karin radiates keen professionalism and deep passion for all things adventure, especially with her expertise in the Arctic regions. Her compassionate approach this year during the winter Arctic Circle Trail Expedition in Greenland made our participants feel especially empowered in their new environment. Welcome, Karin, and thanks for joining us!

Early this spring, Brecht De Meulenaer published his stunning book A Wildlife Guide to Georgia. Our team was particularly proud to see him able to release this well-researched publication in the middle of an intense guiding season. Congratulations, Brecht!

And now we have two expeditions that are currently rolling in Greenland.

Mika Charavin is guiding a private client on a privatised snowkite training on the Greenland Icecap. This customised south to north route has been designed as a pre-cursor for a potential future polar challenge. The focus now however is on technique, experience, and safely thriving on a long kite expedition.

Brecht is now in Kangerlussuaq together with three strong participants who aim to cross Greenland from West to East. Their combined enthusiasm for this demanding expedition has already made for a pleasant start amidst the tedium of food and equipment packing.

We wish Olivier, Pierre and Jose Luis a successful and stunning journey across Greenland's imposing inland ice. For LiveExplorer tracking throughout the expedition, please visit Expeditions Unlimited.

We'll of course keep you updated here on our blog on a regular basis until their expected completion in early June.
