We received a brief update today from our Greenland West to East team that they are already on the ice cap.

Their ascent through the ice fall yesterday proved easier than expected due to the winning combination of favourable terrain, cooperative weather, strong progression and their determined team spirit.

Camp 1 was in an absolute bluebird location, a welcome reward after the physical exertion of the previous hours.

Today Brecht sent the simple but hopeful message "We are skiing!"
